Who You'll Work With
Morgan County Tree Co. is four people based in Jacksonville, Illinois, and we like it that way. Whoever sizes up your tree usually cuts it too, and whoever picks up the phone knows this week's schedule.
Owner & Climber
Wes grew up on a farm outside Franklin and put in seven seasons on storm-cleanup and line-clearance crews across Morgan, Cass and Scott counties, working near energized lines through derecho summers and ice-storm winters. He started the company in 2016 with one bucket truck and a chipper. He still climbs, still handles the tight takedowns near houses and service drops, and still sees most jobs before they're booked.
Estimates & Scheduling
Brooke is usually who you'll get when you call. She books the estimate visit, sends the written price, and keeps the calendar sorted after a storm, when calls outrun the crew. Wondering when the truck's coming? Ask Brooke.
Crew Lead & Equipment
Nate runs the equipment: the bucket truck, the chipper, the stump grinder, and the clearing gear on fencerow and lot jobs. On a removal near a structure he sets the rigging and runs the ground while Wes or Devon is in the tree, and he's the reason the yard is clean when the truck pulls out.
Climber / Groundman
Devon climbs the trees the bucket can't reach, like the big silver maples in the back corner of a lot or the walnut and hickory standing in the timber behind a farmhouse, and works the ground on everything else: rope work, sectioning trunks, feeding the chipper, and hauling brush.
We're always open to meeting good west-central Illinois tree-care talent.
Type your town or ZIP and we'll tell you if the truck comes your way.
