Serving New Berlin, Illinois
New Berlin is the Sangamon County village off I-72 exit 82, home of the Sangamon County Fair every June, and the one Sangamon town on our list.
Local & Insured
The village of about 1,380 is nineteen road miles and twenty-four minutes east, with old IL-54 as its original main road. Mostly German immigrants founded it in 1865, and the Potawatomi Trail of Death passed through in 1838.
Each June the Sangamon County Fair fills the grounds at the edge of town. The 1865 grid carries huge sugar and silver maples, west-side subdivisions have younger trees with staking and pruning problems, the 1980s street ash is dead or dying, and bur oak groves ring the farmsteads.

Why a Jacksonville Crew Comes to New Berlin
The interstate makes New Berlin, our only Sangamon County town, a quick trip. Brooke fits it in with Alexander and Ashland jobs to keep your estimate date close.
Sugar and silver maples planted with the first houses are huge and over everything. We climb, rig and lower each piece over roofs, drops and the neighbor's fence.
The fair takes over the village for a week in June. We keep street-side removals off fair week and schedule work near the fairgrounds for quiet weekday mornings.
New Berlin and Sangamon County each keep their own code. A tree wholly inside your lot is up to you; one over a village street means a call to the village office first.
Not for a tree wholly on your own lot; Jacksonville's tree ordinance and trimmer license end at the city line. New Berlin has its own village code, and we found no permit there for a home-lot tree; ask the village office before cutting one over a village street. Burn rules and the rest are on our permits page.
If a maple over your New Berlin house needs to come down or a street ash has finally died, call or ask for a free written estimate.
